Where Is He????

Many women are looking for a mate, a husband, and they are getting tired and frustrated, restless even.

Well, many of you are facing issues because you are excepting anyone, including everyone in your pool of possible mates. You don't have to be so guarded but you cannot possibly give everyone a chance. There are many mismatches out there.

Let me break it down for you. Your heart is individualized for you. It's personalized, and it contains protected data that not everyone should access. On top of that it is guarded with security parameters- some one you have a pass code, some have pin codes, some have a lock and key system, some have a fingerprint scanner.

How can a man get to your heart if he

#1) doesn't know how to access it? You require a key for access and he's trying to input a pin code. You require a fingerprint, and he's trying to input a password.

#2) if he knows how to access but does not possess the correct code/ validation

To make it more difficult for a woman to identify (identify, NOT go out and find) the right man for her, some men are not even looking to access her heart. What they want is to access her sexually in order to satisfy their sexual, sometimes psychological, needs. This is selfish of that man and Love is not selfish! You see, while it takes qualification, validation, and authorization to access the heart of a woman, it takes nothing but desire/ lust to access her flesh and be involved sexually with her.

Once a woman realizes the difference between a man who seeks her heart and a man who seeks her flesh and what she can do for him, she can begin to weed out Mr. Wrong from Mr. Right and Mr. Right For Me. Just as all potential mates are unknowing of how to access your heart and what the code is for it, not all of those who are interested are right for you. They may be good men, just not right for you, thus the need to further scale down the list. After careful review, and much prayer and obedience to God, you will obtain your Mr. Right For Me, the one who God placed in your life to become one with you and produce fruit with, the kind of fruit that pleases God.

How Do You Know If He's/She's The Right One

Once God has worked on you and brought you to the point where you are able to be a help meet, a wife, or if you are a man, a provider, you must take inventory of the potential mates who are amongst you. How will you know the difference between Mr./Mrs. Right,  Mr./Mrs. Right For Me, and Mr./Mrs. Wrong? Here are a few articles which I feel will give you insight to make your selecting process easier and help you to avoid setbacks.

Boaz- The Perfect Mate

BOAZ,  THE PERFECT MATE
Previously, I posted about Ruth and Boaz, mainly about Ruth and her characteristics. In this post,  I want to talk about Boaz and his characteristics.

From my past post, it was established that Ruth was loyal in sticking with her mother in law, vowing to stay until the death of her, and was all about her business as she went to the fields to glean and gather food to keep them alive.
The field they had chosen belonged to a man named Boaz. Let's begin with the first mention of Boaz in the field.

"And, behold, Boaz came from Beth-lehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?
" -Ruth 2:4-5 (KJV)

First of all, Boaz was the boss but unlike some individuals who are the boss, he was not bossy. He was kind to his workers and spoke to them as regular people, as friends. He was not high and mighty even though he was the head, the chief, the main man, the boss.

Secondly, he spotted Ruth out from everyone else. He noticed something special about Ruth.

Next, with Ruth standing before him, he says this to her:

Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
-Ruth 2:8-9 (KJV)

Boaz told her that he wanted her to stay in his field only, that he did not want her to leave him. I believe he was developing some type of liking for Ruth, one that was unlike any regular association. He also tells her that he has made an order for the men to not touch her and that they should allow her to drink their water whenever she pleases. This here is showing how much he cares for her as well. He wanted to make sure that she kept a stable job where he could care for her, as well as protect her and make sure she was never thirsty again.

Ruth falls on her face before him, she bows before him, and asks why is it that she has found grace in his eyes even though they had just met? She sees how he has hand picked her.  Boaz answers and tells her how he heard her entire story, how she was so loyal to her mother in law even after the death of her husband and left her home town to stick with her. I tell you, loyalty always pays off! He then says this:

The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. -Ruth 2:12 (KJV)

By this time Ruth is so grateful just to have this opportunity and be cared for in such a high degree. She says to him,

"Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens." -Ruth 2:13 (KJV)

Boaz goes on and tells Ruth to come and see him at mealtime, to come and eat with her. He was asking her out on a casual date, not trying to get her into his bed!!! Boaz was not all about sex!!! It was nowhere on his mind!

She does that and they have dinner. He is utmost hospitable too, giving her parched corn (the good stuff), and telling her to dip her bread in his vinegar (which was a flavorful and refreshing concoction). He was NOT trying to get her drunk, he was only trying to give her a delicious and satisfying meal.

After the meal, Boaz told his workers to purposefully leave food behind for Ruth as they gleaned in the fields. He must've really like Ruth; he wanted her to stay in his field and get free food all day along with her free drink. He didn't want her to work, yet he didn't try to change her routine. Think about it ladies!!!

Ruth gets a full fill of food from the fields, takes it home to her mother in law, Naomi, and tells her what happened between her and Boaz. Naomi reminds her that Boaz is her husband's near kinsman and tells her wash up, anoint herself, and get dressed, get down at Boaz's floor by his bed, and after he had finished eating and drinking and had laid down, to uncover the skirt from over his feet.

Uncovering the skirt from someone's foot was a gesture asking them if they would use their cover to cover them, protect, provide for, and ultimately marry. By Ruth doing this, she made known her Love, preference, and desire to stay with him and have him over her for the rest of her life. Ruth wanted Boaz to fill the place that was left empty when her husband died. She wanted him to replace her husband. Ruth wanted Boaz to redeem her, to be her kinsman redeemer. A kinsman redeemer was one who was kin to one's deceased spouse who could marry a widow and restore all that was lost as well as providing a man child through conception.

Boaz, as much as he liked Ruth, understood the situation and thought first of a nearer relative of his who could rightfully redeem her. He tells Ruth to pray on the matter and then take her sleep. Boaz put prayer and God's will FIRST, even above what he wanted. He tells her that if the other kinsman will not redeem her than he will.

Boaz, as a man off God, kept his promise. He made the proposal. The nearer kinsman was unable to redeem Ruth for personal reasons, so Boaz gladly stepped up. He redeemed Ruth! He saved her from a bleak life! He changed her life!

OK. So hearing of this awesome story,  I will list characteristics of Boaz:

*Boaz was a BOSS but was not bossy. He was not all about letting people know he was the head honcho.
*Boaz was compassionate to everyone and wished blessings among his workers. He did not mistreat anyone, not even those beneath him.
*Boaz noticed Ruth and picked her out of many women. Ladies, your man will choose you above everyone else. Like the Bible says, he will put you FIRST, among all earthly beings.
*Boaz made sure to provide food and drink for Ruth. He wanted to personally meet her basic needs. He wanted to let Ruth know that he had her needs taken care of.
*Boaz was very caring and protective. Ladies, if your man shows no care for your needs and desires, he does not truly Love you. If he does not protect you or puts you in harms way, he does not Love you either.
*Boaz wanted to make Ruth's life easier by having his workers leave food behind for her to pick up and take what she wanted. He wanted to provide for her YET he did not go and tell her that she could not work. Any man who tries to order you around and orchestrate every part of your life is not a man, that's a slave owner!!!
*Boaz was considerate
*Boaz was chivalric. He showed that in his inviting Ruth to dine with him and his treatment of her during the dinner. If you want to know a man's intentions see what he invites you to do with him and observe his every move.
*Boaz was not all about getting Ruth in his bed. He was NOT out to get SEX. He just wanted to treat Ruth out. I need not explain this one.
*Boaz was concerned about the right way to do things, despite his desires.
*Boaz was a strong believer and encourager in prayer. He was set upon hearing from God.
*Boaz eased Ruth's worries. He told her to pray, reassured her that someone would indeed redeem her, if not the one man he would;  then he told her to lie down until the morning.
*Boaz let Ruth sleep in his bed. He was in the bed with her yet did not touch her or ask her for sex. He did not try to entice her either. PLEASE NOTE: Ruth came to Boaz's bed to submit her proposal, which he did hear. He allowed her to stay the night as opposed to sending her out in the night in her dress and perfume, as she could be in danger of being caught and taken by a ravished uncontrolled man on her way home. Both Ruth and Boaz had a great Love for God and respect for themselves and each other. Do not go to a man's bed or ask a woman to spend the night in yours and put them in a predicament that may lead to sexual intercourse. Watch those men who can't control their desires and fiery loins! Watch for those men who try to put you in uncomfortable, compromising positions too!!!!
*Boaz made sure that in the morning Ruth had food when leaving his home. Man, Boaz was such a great man!!! He let her spend the night without any funny business then gave her a takeout meal!!!!
*Boaz was GOOD to Ruth. Your man should be good to you!!!! Some women do not get that. Keep reading this point until it sinks in.
*Boaz kept his promise. He did just as he said the next morning. Not only did he keep his promise,  he made haste to do it. He was a man of his word, a godly man.
*Boaz had the characteristics of a king which are as follows:
LEADERSHIP TRAITS: intellect and prowess, association with elders, being righteous, truthful, resolute, enthusiastic and disciplined, not breaking his promises, showing gratitude [to those who help him], having lofty aims, not being dilatory,
INTELLECT TRAITS: desire to learn, listening [to others], grasping, retaining, understanding thoroughly and reflecting on knowledge, rejecting false views and adhering to the true ones.
PERSONAL TRAITS: honest, eloquent, bold and endowed with a sharp intellect, a strong memory and a keen mind (wisdom). He should be amenable to guidance. He should preserve his dignity and be concerned with preserving the dignity of his woman. He should have a good reputation and care to uphold it not just to look good but to live it out!!!

So, there you go. Do you want a Boaz, be like Ruth. Men, are you like Boaz? If not, get your act together and straighten up!

Ruth- Loyal Til The End

Many women are looking for their Boaz. They are saying, Lord, WHERE IS MY BOAZ!!!!
Let me tell you, Ruth was not looking for a man. She was just trying to be with her mother in law to help along and provide some sense of comfort to her. She was being loyal. Ruth told Naomi,
"Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me
." -Ruth 1:16-17 (KJV)
When she had convinced her mother in law that she could not get rid of her she said to her,
"Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter." -Ruth 2:2 (KJV)

Ruth went out to the fields
#1) to work so that she could provide for her mother in law, and
#2) so that she while doing so could find grace.

The definition of grace is to do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one's presence.

Ruth was all about helping others and giving to others. She didn't say, Let me get in the presence of Boaz to see what he has to offer me. She said, I want to find grace, I want to honor him with my presence. She recognized that it was a treat for her to be able to be in his field to receive.

With all that being said I want to give you ladies a few tips (married and single alike).

*If you are single, stop looking for a man and focus on being loyal to God and those around you who need you.
*Work! Carry on with your life and be productive. Don't sit around crying over being single. No real man wants to wife you up when you're sitting around crying and not knowing how to handle yourself in the face of adversity.
*Stop looking for what a man has and what he can do for you! Walk in the grace of God and He will bless you. Be appreciative that you are alive and surviving; that you have the opportunity to receive something of someone. It is better to give than receive! Acts 20:35 (KJV)  "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Now ladies, don't read that and think that a you have to accept any man. Keep in mind here at this point,  Ruth was not trying to decide upon a man whom to be a wife to. She was just going about her business. Stay tuned. I am going to speak about Boaz also and his character a little later.

When All Hope Is Gone - Naomi and Ruth

GOD CAN DO WHAT MAN CANNOT DO; BEYOND WHAT THE MIND CAN CONCEIVE;  HE WORKS IN INCREDIBLY WONDROUS WAYS!

A story of hope in the midst of hopelessness.

*******Disclaimer- This is long reading. Only proceed if you desire to hear of God's goodness and delight in His Word. If you DO NOT want to be inspired, do not read!!!!*******

[And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth-lehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.

And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.]-Ruth 1:2-14 (KJV)

Elimelech, his wife, Naomi, and their sons, Mahlon and Chilion journeyed on to Moab. They were a secured family. I imagine them traveling, joyful and expectant, ready to walk into a great future. They were happy, then something happened. Elimelech died. Poor Naomi. She lost her king.  As hard as that had to be, she went on, just her and her sons.

Her sons, Mahlon and Chilion, went on and married two Moab women, Opal and Ruth. They were happy, these two married couples. The Bible says they were together for ten years, until something happened. Both Mahlon and  Chilion died. Poor Naomi, she was struck with a terrible, tragic loss once again. Poor Opal and Ruth. They lost their kings. My God. What pain they all endured.

Distraught and without a plan, Naomi tells her beloved daughter in laws to stay in their hometown while she returns to her hometown. They refused. Clinging to her, they vowed to stay with her. Her response was one of hopelessness,  she says,

"Why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;"

Naomi knew she could not bring her lovely daughter in laws husband's to replace the ones they had lost, and they so did need husbands. A husband was more than a person to cuddle up with. A husband was security, surety, and means to carry on the name and inheritance of an individual (from the man/husband). This is why marriage and bearing a son was so important to in the Levirate law.

So, Opal and Ruth had nothing. No husbands, no sons, and little to nothing to survive. Likewise, Naomi had nothing. Her inheritance from her husband had died with the death of her two sons and she was unable to have another son. My God, what a hopeless situation!!!

Opal ended up listening to her mother in law, retreating, and with tears and sadness kissed Naomi goodbye. Ruth refused. She clung even more to her mother in law and declared her loyalty to her. She was going to stay with her no matter what. Now, that's Love. Ruth knew her mother in law had nothing to give, no means to help her, yet she stayed anyway.

If you would go on and read the book of Ruth you will see how Ruth and Naomi journeyed to Bethlehem, Naomi’s home. While there, she gleaned wheat from the fields of Boaz (Ruth 1–2). In desperation, with all the men in her immediate family dead, Naomi and Ruth were in danger of losing their inheritance and their family’s land if an heir could not be produced. While gleaning, Boaz, noticed her and marked her out among all others in his field. For some reason, Ruth stood out from everyone else.

This is the account of what happened afterwards:

[Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?

And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:

And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.

Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:

Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?

And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.

And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.

And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:

And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.

So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.] -Ruth 2:5-17

Whoa! Ruth went from nothing to a whole lot. The owner of the field, Boaz, practically begged her to stay close to him, and not just that, he told her that he instructed the men to not touch her and to let her drink as much as she wants of the waters which they drawed. But, that's not all, Boaz told Ruth to come and sit down and have a personal meal with him, which she did. Wow. A sure job (security) with full benefits and a dinner with the boss. Oh, yeah, to add the cherry on the ice cream Boaz instructs his servants to intentionally leave produce behind while gleaning so that Ruth could take all that she wanted. Free food!!!! Yes Lord. Things begin to start looking good for Ruth.

Ruth, as loving as she was, went on to give her mother in law food from her great harvest and tell her what had transpired between she and Boaz. Naomi says it is good for her to take his offer and later tells her that Boaz is her kinsman. A kinsman was one who could redeem a widow and restore her the property that was lost with her husband as well as marry her and conceive a son with her.

Naomi comes up with a plan to set things in motion. Ruth complies. As Boaz lay asleep one night, Ruth lies at his feet, uncovering his feet. He wakes up startled wondering who she was. She tells him and asks him to cover her with his skirt (not a feminine skirt but a man's night covering of the time). Now, do not take this to mean that Ruth seduced Boaz. This custom of covering one with a skirt or to "spread his garment” over her, meant to assume the responsibility for her care, as her husband. Ruth, in a way, is proposing to him. She is asking him to save her, to redeem her. She wants Boaz to be her kinsman redeemer. (look up kinsman redeemer to find out more about the term and how it parallels what Jesus Christ does for us). The very act of Boaz covering her with his garment is symbolic of espousal, which is also symbolic of the relationship of God to us, His people.

"Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

5For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called." -Isaiah 54:4-5

"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." -2 Corinthians 11:2

To shorten the story,  Boaz tells Ruth that there is a close kinsman than he; that he will present the offer to him,  for him to redeem the property which she had lost with the death of her husband and also, to gain his hand in marriage. He finds this near kinsman and meets with him before a council. Presenting the offer, the nearest kinsman says he cannot do what was proposed or else he would mess up his inheritance. Boaz gladly takes responsibility and declares himself the redeemer of Ruth in his stead.

Boaz marries Ruth. In keeping with the Levirate marriage law, Ruth was able to marry a close relative and bear a son who would legally belong to Naomi’s family, thereby ensuring that the property would not pass from them (Deut. 25:5–10). Mannnnn, can someone say HAPPILY EVER AFTER???!!!!!

Ruth went from nothing to everything. Little by little she was given everything she needed, right down to a husband a man child, a son. Her loyalty to her mother in law paid off greatly. She wasn't looking to receive. All she wanted was to Love and comfort her grief stricken mother in law. See how much you gain when you give out of a pure heart, void of ulterior motives? Boaz was better than the nearest kinsman, he was full of compassion and loyalty. She got a husband of her equal and he had great possessions. Ruth wasn't a gold digger, she was a goal digger, and she was blessed with good and plenty.

As for Naomi, she went from sad and hopeless to happy and provided for. Boaz' plan of redemption included her and provided for her for the rest of her life. Remember how Naomi in her grief told her daughter in laws repeatedly that she could not conceive a son for them, that she had not another son that she could birth? Well, Boaz became the son that she said she could not conceive. Naomi did not have to get remarried to conceive another son for her daughter in law. God hooked her up with it all in His way. He gave her all she needed and more. Look AT GOD! God's ways are above our own ways. He will do what seems impossible to man. Praise God!

Today I want you to stop thinking about what you think to be the worst and begin to imagine how God will turn it around for your good. You may not be able to imagine just how God will fix it but you can have faith that He will fix it somehow and someway. What God did for Naomi and Ruth, He can do for you too! God can turn your worse situation into your greatest miracle. He will turn it around!

GOD WORKS IN INCREDIBLY WONDROUS WAYS!

Matthew 19:26 (KJV)
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
